WHILST BEING CAREFULLY CURATED, AFFISCH IS SUCH AN INVITING SPACE, TELL US ABOUT THE IMPETUS BEHIND ITS CREATION AND YOUR INTENTION FOR THE PLATFORM.

THAT’S SO GREAT TO HEAR, ONE OF THE MAJOR DRIVING POINTS FOR ME IS DEFINITELY TO MAKE ART MORE ACCESSIBLE. BEFORE STARTING AFFISCH I FOUND IT QUITE DIFFICULT TO FIND A PLATFORM THAT SOLD PHOTOGRAPHY WORKS AT AN ACCESSIBLE PRICE POINT. MY INTENTION IS FOR AFFISCH TO HELP BRIDGE THAT GAP.

WITH A DEEP APPRECIATION FOR ARTISTS AND THEIR PHOTOS, DESCRIBE THE PROCESS ON HOW YOU WORK WITH ARTISTS AND HOW EACH IMAGE IS SELECTED FOR AFFISCH.

HONESTLY, I WANT THE PLATFORM TO CONSTANTLY PROGRESS WHICH IS WHY I LIKE TO ADD WORKS TO THE SITE VIA "DROPS". THIS ALLOWS ME TO HAVE A THEME FOR EACH COLLECTION. I LIKE TO HAVE A VERY HANDS-ON DECISION WITH HOW EACH THEME IS PICKED AND HOW I DEEM WHAT PHOTOGRAPHERS WOULD FIT WELL WITHIN EACH.

IN WHAT WAY DO YOU THINK AFFISCH IS SUPPORTING THE ARTISTS WHO SELL THROUGH THE WEBSITE?

AFFISCH STRIVES TO PROVIDE A COUPLE OF THINGS FOR THE ARTISTS; IT'S OBVIOUSLY A FINANCIAL OUTCOME BUT, IT'S ALSO A MULTI-LAYERED EXPOSURE, ONLINE AND IN PERSON. WE HAVE BIG IDEAS/DREAMS HERE AT AFFISCH SO, WE AIM TO SUPPORT ARTISTS IN BOTH CATEGORIES.

HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR ROLE IN MAKING ART ACCESSIBLE AND WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT TO YOU?

THE PHOTOGRAPHIC ART FORM HAS BECOME TOO DIGITAL. IT'S LOST ITS TANGIBILITY. IT'S IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT'S VERY PERSONAL FOR ME. I'M BASICALLY TRYING TO CREATE SOMETHING FUN AND ACCESSIBLE, PROVIDING WELL CURATED PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTWORKS AT A PRICE POINT THAT SEE'S THE ARTIST FIND PROFIT AND THE COSTUMER WITH AFFORDABLE ART WORKS.
